How to Get BLESSED  (A Sunday School Lesson by Brother Matt)

Checked out #blessed on twitter as I typed my lesson- here are some of the items that people were feeling blessed about-Good Friends, Free Food (count me in!) , A good Pastor, Great Stepmom, Being Alive, God's Peace, A decision to Follow Jesus, Cookie Dough
People have very different ideas about what makes them blessed, interesting thing missing from the list was money-(nothing to do with the lesson, just a midnight observation)
What is the Bibles Plan for Getting Blessed?



1.  Regard the Word of God
Duet 28:1-8  (Listen to God, Heed ALL his commandments, (Vs. 8 POWERFUL PROMISE)
2. Desire to be RIGHTEOUS
Matthew 5:6 (Jesus IS our righteousness but it is our responsibility to be a empty willing vessel)
3. Rise up and work
Isaih 32:20 (a)  (The bible also says if a Man does not work-Neither should he eat! No handouts (Obamacare, Welfare in God's kingdom)
4. Remember the Just
Proverbs 10:7  (HAVE THE RIGHT HEROES, I REPEAT HAVE THE RIGHT HEROES, DID I MENTION HAVE THE RIGHT HEROES? Jesus is a great heroe, Paul, John the Baptist , Bro. Pitman -those that instruct in righteousness and stick by the stuff!)
5. Resist Temptation
James1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him (MEMORIZE THIS VERSE-THAT IS AN ORDER!)
6. Die Right
Rev. 14:13   (Life is Short , ETERNITY IS A LONG TIME- You have 1 shot to Die Right with GOD-Live each day like it is your last and you WILL make better choices)
