Drama , It's Complicated and I've Got a Splitting headache!

Ever heard anyone say- " I could never be a Christian it is waay to hard" ! -I have heard this many times over the years, and rarely does anyone offer any objection-According to the scriptures it just simply is not true.

1. Truthfully the way of non-believers is Difficult - Prov 13:13-16

13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors (sinners) is hard.16 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly

In my own life my most difficult times that I have ever experienced were a direct result of my distance from the Lord. -The further away you Run from God the harder your way will be -Got Drama? Got Complication? Confess your sin to the Lord and turn from your wicked ways and God Will forgive you!

2. The Word tells us there is Pleasure in sin-But for a Season (Short time)

Prov 23;17 17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long Prov 24:1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them 9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men

The Commercials say things like "Life is Good" , "Live the High Life" , "It's Good for you" (really?) , "It Gets the Job done" (I guess that is true) ,- Satan is the Father of lies and it is evident in that type of advertising-God's word has a very accurate description of the party and the day after (I was an eyewitness to all of these items on most of my limo runs0

Prov 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? 30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again

3. God's Word Gives us a Specific warning and The promise of assistance Galatians 5:17-26

Salvation is a straight path - it is much easier to drive on a straight road than a winding curvy one -Matt. 7:13-14

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light

Those who say the Christian life is hard are either not trying to live it at all, or are trying to live it under thier own strength -God promised he would help -but you must accept it by prayer and studying God's word
